Privacy Policy
Effective September 16, 2026
We collect what we need to write, schedule and publish your posts, and to bill you. We don’t sell your information, show ads, or use tracking or advertising cookies.
This policy explains what information SocialBirdie collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. SocialBirdie is run by HS Business Hub, based in Ontario, Canada. We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
1. What we collect
- Your account: your email address, which we use to send sign-in links, and a cookie that keeps you signed in.
- Your website: the website address you enter, and the text, colours and fonts on the public pages of that site that SocialBirdie reads (the home page and a few pages it links to).
- What we make for you: draft and approved posts, captions, keywords, card designs, your brand colours and fonts, your publishing schedule, and publishing results such as links to published posts and error messages.
- Connected social accounts: the platform, the account’s name and ID, and for Pinterest the board you chose. You sign in to each platform through our publishing partner, Zernio. We never see or store your social media passwords, and the permission that lets posts be published is held by Zernio.
- Billing: your plan, subscription status, renewal date and Stripe customer ID. You enter card details on Stripe’s checkout page, and we never see or store your card number.
- Security: your IP address is used to stop abuse, such as too many requests in a short time. We store it only as a hashed value, not in readable form, and clear it once the time limit has passed. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, for a limited time.
- In your browser: unsaved drafts, and a plan you picked before signing in, are kept in your browser’s local storage so they survive a page reload. They stay on your device.
2. How we use it
- to run SocialBirdie: read your website, draft posts and cards, publish the posts you approve, and show your schedule;
- to send sign-in links and messages about your account or billing;
- to take payments and manage your subscription;
- to keep the service secure and prevent abuse;
- to fix problems and answer your questions; and
- to meet legal and tax obligations.
We don’t sell personal information, use it for advertising, or use your content to train AI models.
3. Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that run parts of SocialBirdie, and only what each one needs:
| Provider | What they do |
|---|---|
| Vercel | Hosts the website and app |
| Neon | Database that stores your account, posts and schedule |
| Anthropic | AI that drafts posts from your website’s text. Its commercial terms don’t allow it to train its models on this data. |
| Zernio | Connects your social accounts and publishes the posts you approve |
| Meta (Instagram, Facebook), X, Pinterest | Receive the posts you approve, under their own privacy policies |
| Stripe | Payments and billing |
| Resend | Sends sign-in emails |
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect people’s rights or safety, or to a buyer if the business is sold, in which case we’ll tell you first.
4. Your public feed and card images
Approved posts are available at a feed address based on your website’s name, such as socialbirdie.hsbizhub.com/feed/yourbusiness-com, and card images are served from public web addresses. This is what lets Pinterest and similar services pick them up. Anyone who has these addresses can see those posts. They are posts you approved for publishing, so don’t include anything you want to keep private.
5. Where your information is stored
Our service providers store and process information in the United States and other countries, so it may be subject to the laws of those countries.
6. How long we keep it
- We keep your information while your account is open.
- When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account, posts and brand details, and disconnect your social accounts, within 30 days.
- Billing records are kept for as long as tax law requires, generally six years in Canada.
- Posts already published on social media stay there until you delete them on that platform.
7. Your choices and rights
- You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you.
- You can disconnect social accounts at any time in the studio, and cancel your subscription from Manage billing.
- You can withdraw your consent, although that may mean we can no longer provide SocialBirdie.
Email hsbizhub26@gmail.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. If you aren’t satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
8. Cookies
SocialBirdie only uses the cookies needed to sign you in and keep you signed in securely. We don’t use analytics or advertising cookies. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout and billing pages to prevent fraud.
9. Security
All connections use encryption (HTTPS), access to information is limited, and passwords and keys for our systems are stored securely. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we’ll notify you and the Privacy Commissioner as the law requires.
10. Children
SocialBirdie is for businesses and adults. It isn’t intended for anyone under 18.
11. Changes to this policy
We’ll update the date at the top when this policy changes, and email you before any significant change takes effect.
